Tanned Coyote Mask. Hare Masks are commonplace in the fly tyers collection as they are used for tying all sorts of nymphs. In our opinion Coyote Mask is better than Hare Mask. We use coyote fur taken from masks to tie Gold Ribbed Hares Ear flies and people comment on how good they are. Coyote Mask has long fur that can be plucked to create great tails on nymphs or dries. Coyote Mask also has great fur for bodies - it has long guard hairs and soft under fur - which when plucked (or removed with a fur rake) creates the ultimate spike dubbing. The masks have all shades from very dark almost black through to very light almost blonde hairs.
