Woodchuck hair is a soft, crinkly, naturally variegated brown/tan/black fur used for down-wings on wets. The ample under fur can be used to dub the bodies of a variety of nymphs. A must-have for the hair collector!Rich brown with mottled brown guard hairs. The guard hairs are good for wings and tails and the soft, black under fur is excellent for dubbing. Woodchuck are most often used for caddis wings, tails on dry flies, and wings on hair wings salmon flies. The under fur makes great dubbing.
